Key Feature: Blend Shape Editing
The organic nature of modo's falloffs allows quick creation of blendshapes. Additionally, the "Morph Tool" lets you use existing blendshapes to create new ones. Combine the morph tool with a falloff and you can mix and match blendshapes ad infinitum. Because of the way we store blendshapes internally you can edit the base model without destroying the blendshapes. Take your original character with 100 blendshapes and edit him into a her. All your blendshapes come with you.

Selection Tools
Modo allows you to quickly and accurately select components on your mesh for editing. Selection tools like the simple "Paint Select" and the intelligent "Select Next" make getting to that "hard to reach spot" just a few clicks away.

Hide Geometry
To focus on a particular detail in your model, you can simply "hide" portions of your model by using modo's "Hide Selected" or "Hide Unselected" feature. Just select some polys and press the H key and they are hidden from view. Push U and they are unhidden.

Tab to Toggle SDS and Polys
To see your model, or a portion of it, as a SubD Surface just press the Tab key. To switch back to the raw polygons touch the tab key again. It's that easy.

Bridge Tool
Need to join two edge loops or seamlessly connect two meshes? With modo's Bridge, select the two areas you want to connect and then click and drag to connect.

Maya Navigation Mode
modo not only allows deep customization of keyboard input and user interface, but also provides a simple option to choose Maya style mouse navigation.

Macro Recording

modo's macro recording feature allows you to simply record your actions and then save them as a macro that you can replay at any time. The modeling process is full of repetitive tasks. With modo's macro recording you can collapse them into a single step.

Loop Slice
Add detail to your model by simply selecting an edge and modo will create a new edge loop perpendicular to it. While the tool is active you can even add multiple loops simultaneously and edit each one interactively.
